New South Wales

With the capital of the state being the biggest city in the country, it is no surprise that NSW has the highest GSP out of any other state. That is not to say that there isn't a lot of more 'modern' business in the state. Many companies in industries such as information technology and finance have their company headquarters based in the Sydney CBD, making Sydney into one of the centers of those industries for the Country. Although it is at an all time low, NSW still maintains a strong agriculture industry as well. On top of all of this, NSW generates a lot of money from tourism, especially Sydney which is seen as a prime destination for many who look for overseas trips. From this, it is clear to see that NSW has a very well rounded economy that thrives in various different areas. This makes it the perfect place to live for someone that is involved in, or is looking to get involved, in any of these thriving industries.

Victoria has the second highest GSP in Australia. The highest wealth producing industry in Victoria is finance. This makes Victoria a very attractive place to live if you work in finance. Victoria also produces significant wealth in technical services, health and social care, and Manufacturing. Of all of the industries present in Victoria, health and social care employs the largest number of workers. Between the number of people employed by the industry and the fact that it is also one of the biggest wealth producers, health and social care is definitely a good industry to be working in, in Victoria.

Queensland

Coming in as Australia's third wealthiest state is Queensland. Queensland is know for being a resource state, as it gets a large amount of its wealth from exporting resources. If you are involved in the harvesting or exporting of resources, Queensland can be a very good option to live. Queensland is not only Involved in these industries however, it also does well in a number of other industries such as food, finance, banking and Information technology.
